The Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Hisham Sharaf and accompanying delegation returned to Sana'a after participating in the meetings of the Economic and Social Council for the Arab States in 87 regular session, which concluded yesterday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the minister said the effectiveness of Yemen's participation in the meetings of the Council will contribute to improving the effectiveness of decisions and recommendations of the Economic and Social Council and will propel forward the Arab economies, pointing out that the Board approved the convening of the next session in the month of September at the Arab League.
He explained that the Council discussed over the three days a number of topics related to cooperation between the Arab countries, and how to activate the various organizations for economic and social activities, including the General Organization for Maritime Transport Arab, which plays a major role in promoting cooperation among Arab countries in the economic and social development.
